Pick Your languageDuring a recent instant message session with Lance, one of my AIM buddies, said 'I'm going to see if i can install MacOS X on my Dell.' Lance is a knowledgeable PC guy who runs a web hosting service. He chats with me fairly regularly about a variety of tech issues. He knows I'm an avid Mac user. So when he made this comment I told him that I didn't think that it was going to be possible.

Our Excellent '55 T-Bird Adventure

ImageThis past weekend the Mrs. and I were in Huntsville, Ontario, where we stumbled upon their annual antique, muscle car, and hotrod festival. That's where we met Bruce.

Bruce is the owner of a 1955 Ford Thunderbird. He was sitting in his stunning T-Bird listening to someone talk about their car exploits of youth. Bruce looked bored and I wasn't expecting much from him as I patiently waited for the other fellow finish his story. It was fascinating how this guy could talk so long without a pause or a breath. After what seemed like forever there was a split second break, enough so I could jump in to ask Bruce my question.

ImageI couldn’t help noticing the young fellow sitting in a booth by himself across from us in the restaurant. He looked uncomfortable and was alone for a good 30 minutes when finally a young lady arrived to be seated at the table with him. He was clearly relieved now that she was there. It was worth the wait I thought as I noticed how attractive she was. I relayed all this to my wife who was out with me that night. I spoke too soon.

“Time waits for nobody.” That's what I used to hear around my house growing up. Before I was old enough to go to school I could lie down in the driveway and watch a colony of ants going back and forth for hours on a sunny afternoon. The days went on forever each one an adventure. Time was not much of an issue.
